Hair Styles for Brides

The wedding season is upon us and today the look of bridal hair is softer than ever. Although today’s hair styles are much more casual, hair is still a focal point for brides and needs special attention. Brides need time with their hair stylist  to decide on how to best wear their hair–the style of the dress and particularly the neckline are a couple of things to consider when styling the hair.  Brides now frequently go through a “trial run” of their chosen hairstyle with their hairstylist, since bridal quality up-do’s can be a bit of a challenge for many stylists:  it’s a way to assuage anxiety and has in fact become a part of the preparation and planning for the big day.   When considering a trial however, keep in mind that hair rarely looks exactly the same twice.

Frizzy hair, once taboo for a formal up-do, is now the basis for many styles. Curly hair, often straightened, is now kept curly and sculpted into styles that can help create the exact mood and look desired. Flowers and jewelry are often incorporated into bridal hairstyles too. Tying the knot–and creating that special hairstyle for the occasion–has never been more fun!
