Bangs — short bangs, long bangs, razor cut bangs can all add to your haircut.

Bangs are an aspect of a hair cut that commands attention–and that never really go out of style. There is the classic bang that sits just above the eyebrow. There is the high, short bang. There is the long and full bang, the asymmetrical bang  and the soft fringe of a bang.  Bangs are a very personal accent to your hair cut and can often “make” the cut.  For those who feel they must wear a bang to soften a prominent forehead and who don’t trust their look without them, bangs act as a form of security.  For others, bangs may simply be about following a trend or bringing more attention to their eyes.  Consider the high short bang — it’s quite severe.  This bang works best with shorter and layered hair styles. The high short bang also looks great with a high pony tail.  The long fuller bang, on the other hand, looks great with longer, thicker hair.  The soft fringe of a bang is best worn by those with finer hair.  And then there is the bang that is swept off to the side with a deep part.  Bangs work best on wavy and straight hair. Those with very tight curly hair  can wear bangs when they are simply an extension of the cut and fall onto the forehead casually.  Otherwise a bang on extremely curly hair can look a bit too hard or stiff.  If the hair around your  hairline falls softly on your forehead and softens your face–great.  But if it doesn’t move because the curl is really tight, then it could make your hair style look a bit like a helmet–so defer to your hair stylist for advise.  Finally, if the bang you wear has been with you a long time, consider trying on some wigs of hairstyles that have no bang.  This will give you an opportunity to see how you look without a bang.  Don’t be afraid of change when it comes to hair:  it will always grow back.
